This position is primarily Monday to Friday with a minimum of 40 hours per week, and consistent overtime paid at higher rates.

As a Timber Treatment Plant and Forklift Operator, you will coordinate and treat timber to meet customer requirements while supporting production flow and maintaining safe, cost-efficient operations. Your responsibilities will include selecting timber for treatment, preparing chemicals for each charge, loading and unloading timber packs onto rails and into the treatment cylinder using a forklift, initiating and monitoring treatment processes, recording treatment details, monitoring and tagging timber during the drying process and safely operating a forklift to transfer stock.

This role is ideal for someone who is responsible, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively without supervision and within a small team. Full onsite training will be provided, but the following skills and attributes are essential: 

  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Confidence using computers and learning new programs
  • Proven work history with long-term commitment to past employers
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a small team
  • Alignment with our values of integrity, teamwork, and striving for excellence
  • Forklift experience or certificate (advantageous but not required)
