We are looking for Machine Operators and Labourers to join our night shift team at our Remanufacturing Plant in Kennington, just 10 minutes from Invercargill.
As a Machine Operator or Labourer, you will play a key role in transforming dried boards into premium timber products. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, has a good eye for detail, and takes pride in being part of a team that gets the job done right.
This is a Monday–Thursday full-time night shift position, working a guaranteed minimum of four 10-hour shifts each week, with overtime opportunities available at the end of each shift. These roles offer competitive hourly rates, overtime pay for all hours worked beyond 40, and night shift allowances linked to attendance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery to maintain smooth production flow and meet efficiency targets
- Set up and adjust machines as required
- Conduct regular timber quality checks
- Load and unload timber through infeed and outfeed processes
- Maintain product quality through careful inspection and attention to detail
- Contribute to improved recoveries
- Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a tidy work area
- Work collaboratively to meet production goals through teamwork and clear communication
