We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to take on a key role in maintaining and improving our general plant operations. This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with Fridays dedicated exclusively to maintenance activities while the mill is non-operational.
While this position requires a high level of autonomy, you will be well-supported by an existing Maintenance Engineer and on-site Electrician, as well as the wider Kennington-based Niagara maintenance team. Additionally, you will have opportunities to be involved in new installations and upgrades at the Niagara Kennington site, ensuring your skills continue to evolve and be diversely applied.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Assist with installations, system upgrades, and modifications to improve reliability and performance.
- Support the broader maintenance team across sawmilling operations as required.
- Carry out welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as needed.
- Work proactively to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer, who possesses strong technical skills in diagnostics, welding, machining, and general industrial maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a proactive, team-focused attitude with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in an industrial environment. Physical fitness is essential, as the role involves hands-on maintenance work.
